we are glad to dedicate the Mai issue of our "Vintage events Newsletter" to the imminent Vintage shows in France and to a
unique event in the Region Veneto.
è VINTAGE MARKET FASHION SHOW (Marché de la mode Vintage Lyon – France). The 7th edition of the biggest
Vintage shopping day in France with more than 300 exhibitors, will take place next Saturday May 17 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
at the Marché de Gros. Free entrance.
è MASSILIA VINTAGE, 4th INTERNATIONAL FASHION & DESIGN SHOW in Marseille (France) will move to the
artists' district La FRICHE La Belle de Mai adding to the Winter edition a special summer venue from Saturday June 21st
to Sunday 22nd 2008 with opening times 10 a.m./8 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sunday).
Entrance: €4. Kids aged under 12 free.
è CELEBRATION OF NATURE, ARTS & CRAFTS AND TRADITIONS, Piazzola Sul Brenta (Province Padua, Italia)
from Friday May 31 to Sunday June 2 2008, at the polyvalent space EX JUTE SPINNING FACTORY (Jutificio) and
the close-by Piazza Camerini. Free admission and special Vintage Area with period handmade clothing and accessories.

Marché de la Mode Vintage - Lyon
Great opportunity for a full immersion in high quality Vintage Fashion
This time it will happen in France, Lyon
on Saturday May 17 from 10 to 19 non-stop - FREE ENTRANCE!!
at the Marché de Gros, Cours Charlemagne with entrance from Rue Casimir Périer.
The area is very close to the SNCF Train Station (Gare Perrache) with very fast and convenient connections from the whole Europe via the TGV train (train grand vitesse).
More than 300 exhibitors are waited among with Europeans, Canadians, Americans.
A consistent group of Italian Vintage dealers and collectors will exhibit at PAVILLION 5 (Pavilion des étrangeres).

OH LA LA, LES FRIPES C'EST CHIC !!!
On show: clothing, fabrics, accessories, purses, shoes, costume jewellery, hats, vanity items, furniture, objects, lighting particularly dated from the '50's up to the '80's of the XX Century.
A wide range of shows, events, workshops, stands for kids, best Vintage look hunting, will animate this big Vintage venue.
Very peculiar of the Lyon Vintage Market is the attention for Vintage designers branded items as well as the presence of both big dealers and private collector people (called in French "particuliers") who will probably give a plus to the exhibition's quality standards with some one of a kind period pieces.
In this 7th exhibition 15.000 visitors at least, among with ordinary public, designers, fashion producers, shop owners are expected.
The huge show will start at 10:00 o'clock a.m. and finish at 7 p.m.
After that, "les jeux sont faits"

MASSILIA VINTAGE, Marseille (France) 4th International Show - Fashion & Design changes its seat and adds a special summer edition at Pavilions FRICHE La Belle de Mai, artist's district in Marseille.
The Vintage Show and sale will start on Saturday June 21st and carry on Sunday June 22.
Opening times 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. non-stop (2nd day closing at 7 p.m.)
Entrance: 4€, free admission for kids under 12 years.

NEW OPENING VINTAGE SHOW-ROOM AND ACCESSORIES RESEARCH ARCHIVE:
Opened last May 6th, the Show room "Sculptures To Wear" is operating now with the
shoe and belts part (about 1000 pairs of shoes from the Forties to the Eighties, half for the Winter and half for the summer season) and 500 belts with average new arrivals every two weeks. Fashion professionals interested in booking a visit, either for
buying or renting, can ask for an individual appointment via e-mail: sculturedaindossare@alice.it
The first available day will be from Tuesday May 27th and on up to the end of June.
The widest part of this Vintage archive, with some thousands purses dated 1880/1980 will soon be operative as well.
Today a new section of the Vintage Events blog is born, testy title "Vintage hunters faces". Usually reserved and discrete, with out of ordinary looks far from any kind of uniform, sometimes eccentric, very individualistic, funny, cool, emotional, with volcanic ideas, creativity and incredible visions, the Vintage hunters (dealers and collectors-sellers) surprise and fascinate for their charm. I'll try to watch out, discover and shoot with my camera the most interesting ones
