editorial report

Dear Staff of  Net Times,

seen that you publish press releases I thought you could be interested in an article I wrote which is about environmental protection, enhancement of the wine and food and cultural resources of the territory, the umbrian territory, in Italy. The article enhance the positive aspects of a stay in an umbrian agritourism which offers high quality hospitality in openwide countryside.

The title of the article is: Agritourism in Umbria, a short distribution chain holiday.

Hoping that you will agree my contribution, I wish you a beautiful day and send you my best regards,

Jessica Hardt

Agritourism in Umbria, a short distribution chain holiday

Green economy, sustainable development, ecological footprint, aware consumption… all terms we should have get used to in our days and that aim to address our choices in any field. Speaking about conscious and responsible tourism, the holiday in an agritourism or farm holiday in Umbria, the green heart of Italy, seems to be the easier example to bring to the cause.

Terranostra Umbria, the association for agritourisms, environmental and territorial protection is involved in the safeguard of the territory in many respects: it promotes the use of alternative energy, the correct waste disposal, the valorisation of controlled and protected brand products, the use of local products which respect the “Kilometre 0” and short agricultural food chain philosophy. Terranostra agritourisms in Umbria offer high quality hospitality and, from food to wine, they are able to ensure a wide range of products with outstanding outcome.

Extra virgin olive oil, wine, vegetables, cereals, cheese, bread… everything is homemade and can be bought directly in the farm, without intermediaries, presumably after a pleasing tasting with the owner. This is a real plus thinking about the high marks up along the food chain.

A holiday in a Terranostra Umbrian farm is first of all an environmental education experience, is respect for the earth we live in. Other than be a high quality holiday in the pursuit of the “slow philosophy”, is a reason more to do responsible tourism.

Terranostra Umbria

Terranostra is the association for agritourism, environmental and territorial protection. Born in 1973 to promote and sustain agritourism and rural environment, Terranostra is today the benchmark for high quality hospitality, for the safeguard of the landscape, for the use of local products which respect the “Kilometre 0” and short chain philosophy and aims to promote a life and a consume style more respectful of the environment.
