Call for artists: LIQUID ROOMS IV, November 2015

It’s LIQUID Group, in collaboration with International ArtExpo, is selecting all interesting photo, experimental video-art, paintings, installations and performance art works to include in the next 2015 exhibition:
LIQUID ROOMS IV – THE BODY LANGUAGE, experimental art show of photography, video art, installation, painting and performance art, that will be hosted in Venice, at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and Venice Art House, on November 20, 21 and 22, 2015.
LIQUID ROOMS IV is the fourth appointment of LIQUID ROOMS experimental art show included in the festival SELF, organized in Venice at Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and Venice Art House, from the opening day of Venice Art Biennale (May 9, 2015), with a rich program of different events until November 2015. For the first time in Venice we will give audience the possibility to have private meetings with artists, to meet them personally and share their art and experience. Each event will have a strong program of video art screenings and premiers, art residencies, talks, workshops, live dj set, live experimental dance and art performances.
After many years of research and exhibitions about the evolution of the idea of identity, we ask artists to share their personal tales through artworks; to create a link between the personal experience and the audience; to tell us which are the stories and reasons beneath their works. The festival SELF is organized and curated by Luca Curci (director of It’s LIQUID and International ArtExpo) and Andrea Chinellato (director of Ca’ Zanardi and Venice Art House), and supported by Comune di Venezia and Provincia di Venezia.
LIQUID ROOMS is an innovative exhibition format divided in 2 sections:
- the first one consists in dedicated art shows hosted in Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi’s private rooms/apartments, that artists can use at the same time as exhibition space and art residency (accommodation included);
- the second one is the collective show of photography, video art, installation, painting and performance art, hosted in the common area of Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and in VENICE ART HOUSE gallery.
LIQUID ROOMS is an invitation for artists to explore their intimate self and to analyze the relationship between man and space (private and/or public). Opening the doors of their rooms to visitors and crossing the exhibition path through the different venues, artists and audience will disclose and explore the intimate part of their art and beings.
LIQUID ROOMS IV – THE BODY LANGUAGE is a research about the body, conceived not only as a material organic system, but also as an evolving organism with peculiar sensations, feelings and characteristics, in constant connection with other bodies and space. The human body is what connects us to the world; the first mean which helps us perceive and know the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and ways of expression. We invited artists not only to show us their idea of body and to celebrate it through art, but also to communicate with us through their bodies
Selection is open to video art, photography, painting, sculpture/installation, art performance and experimental dance. Artists, photographers, video makers and performers are invited to submit their works and projects. Deadline for applications is November 08, 2015 (11.59 PM of your local time).
Artists interested in taking part in our shows, are free to be sponsored and supported by institutions, organizations, governments and their representers; the logos of their sponsors will be included in all the communication (digital and print) of the events. Artists are free to take part in one or more of the programmed events.
The number of works you can submit is unlimited. The participation in the festival requires an entry fee only for selected artworks. Participation open to: artists, photographers, video makers, performers, architects and designers, associate groups and studios.
