CONCURSO FOTOGRÁFICO DE INTELIGENCIA EMOCIONAL

Hola queridos amigos de la fotografía !!! Es una alegría comunicarnos con Uds., para invitarlos a participar del Concurso fotográfico "La vida a través de las emociones", en el marco del 1° Congreso Internacional de Inteligencia Emocional America IE a realizarse en la ciudad de Cordoba - Argentina en el mes de Agosto. El Concurso tiene como objetivo ser una herramienta de expresión visual que represente una variada gama de emociones, estimule la creatividad y genere mayor conciencia respecto al valor que tienen las emociones en nuestra vida al reconocerlas, ver cómo nos influyen y cómo se expresan. El mismo está abierto a todos los que deseen participar, sean aficionados o profesionales. Con las imágenes recibidas se realizará una exposición fotográfica durante el Congreso y también serán expuestas en diversos medios gráficos. La prioridad temática será la conexión visual que se establezca entre la imagen y su vínculo con una determinada expresión emocional, a través de: retratos, expresiones corporales, paisajes, etc. Consultas y Envio de fotografias: ernesto.bergami@america-ie.org Página Web: www.america-ie.org BASES DE PARTICIPACIÓN El concurso es abierto, libre y gratuito a todas las edades y lugares de residencia. Las fotografías deben ser de autoría propia, inéditas, responder al marco temático indicado y que no hayan sido premiadas con anterioridad. Existirán dos categorías: Mayores desde 19 años y Menores hasta 18 años con menciones especiales a menores de 14 (Con autorización de un mayor). Las fotos se pueden presentar en color o blanco y negro. Fotos digitales: resolución y tamaño mínimos: 3543x2362 píxeles, Fotos impresas con un mínimo de 30 x 20 cm. Cada imagen debe llevar título y una descripción de hasta 200 caracteres, comentando sus experiencias y vínculos entre la emoción y la imagen retratada. Cada concursante puede presentar hasta tres imágenes. Fecha límite de recepción: 15/08/08. Con los envíos de fotografías, consignar los siguientes datos: Nombres, apellidos, e-mail, teléfono, dirección, ciudad, provincia, país y código postal. PREMIOS FOTOGRAFÍAS GANADORAS ( 3 por categoría) A) Diploma de honor del 1º Concurso de Fotografía en Inteligencia Emocional. B) Estadías en Cabañas o en Duplex en las ciudades de Pinamar o Córdoba (Argentina) para cuatro (4) personas, durante una semana en el mes de Septiembre de 2008 C) Bonificación (a confirmar porcentual) en pasajes terrestres dentro de la Argentina. D) Dos invitaciones al 1º Congreso Mundial de IE. E) Exposición de las fotos ganadoras en la muestra a realizarse en el Congreso, ____publicación en la página Web y en la revista bimestral Inteligencia Emocional FOTOGRAFÍAS FINALISTAS ( 7 por categoría) E ) Ídem A - E F) Bonificación del 50% en dos asistencias al 1º Congreso Mundial de IE. JURADO Integrado por cinco personalidades designadas por el Comité de Organización del Congreso. Estará compuesto de: dos (2) fotógrafos profesionales, dos (2) científicos y un (1) psicólogo especialista en IE. FALLO EL jurado fallara en los 7 días hábiles posteriores al cierre del concurso. Los resultados se publicarán el día 22/08/08 en la página Web del Congreso y se comunicará vía e-mail o telefónicamente a los ganadores. El fallo será inapelable ENTREGA DE PREMIOS Para los ganadores, finalistas y menciones, la entrega de premios se realizará en la Exposición Fotográfica en el marco del Acto de Apertura del "1º Congreso Mundial Científico Práctico de Inteligencia Emocional", el día 28 de agosto del 2008 a las 10 hs. en el hotel Holiday Inn de la ciudad de Córdoba. Sculptures produce a unique mood and distinct atmosphere; they enrich the ways that culture can be enjoyed both by locals and visitors to the city alike. The possibility to explore barrier-free communication using works of art in the streets and on city squares not only helps build up a relationship to art, but also cultivates the aesthetic insight and awareness of the viewer. Every summer quality art and distinguished artistic figures from all over the world come together in Bratislava.

This annual event enjoys exceptional popularity and interest not just from the general public but also professional circles. At a previous year of the exhibition the then rector of the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Adam Farkaš, even noted that Bratislava is becoming the European capital of sculpture every summer thanks to this event.

Now in its thirteenth year, this year the event will involve an even greater number of works (more than 200), participating artists (67) and countries (22), and it will take place at more venues than it ever did before.

In addition to outdoor sites on the city squares Hviezdoslavovo námestie and Františkánske námestie with large dimension works of artists from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain and Korea, and in the courtyard of Primate's Palace with works of the "stars" of this year's exhibition, outstanding Polish artist Igor Mitoraj and the no less renowned Czech artist Olbram Zoubek, the artistic works of over 60 artists will also be put on show in the "chamber" environment of the various participating galleries. Joining local Slovak artists will be others from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Japan, Korea, Israel, Brazil, Russia, Great Britain and Georgia.

The premises on the 1^st floor of Dom umenia (House of Art) will be the venue for a broadly conceived display of artists from various countries entitled Art Without Frontiers. Art has always ignored barriers that endeavour incomprehensibly to separate and prevent the open and free promotion of artistic values. The works of artists of various genres and generations, using different expressive and material means, present a mission of co-operation and better mutual understanding through the universal communication medium that is fine art.

In addition to various Slovak artists like Peter Roller, Ján Hoffstädter and Ingrid Višňovská, Daniel Brunovský, or Ľubo Stacho, for instance, other works on display will include those of young Finnish artists the likes of Vesa-Pekka Rannikko and Jari Mannisto, as well as the large dimension installation Flags from Markus Kahre, winner of the 2007 Ars Fennica Prize for young artist; there will be works from renowned artists from other countries as well, including Lis Andersen (DK), Susanne Kathlen Mader (N), Barbro Raen Thomassen (N), Fredrik Raddum (N), Gunnar Carl Nilsson (S), Bert van Loo (NL), Roland de Jong Orlando (NL), Gebhard Sengmüller (A), Mitsouko Mori (J), Carlos Galvao (BR), Gjalt Blauw (NL), Neven Bilić (HR) recommended to be included by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, or Alexander Pankin (RUS), already renowned also in this part of the world.

In Mirbach Palace of Bratislava City Gallery visitors will have the chance to see works of four Italian artists at the exhibition entitled Italian Lights, in the curator concept of Lia de Venere. They are Giuseppe Teofilo, Carlo Bernardini, Filippo Centenari and Carlo Steiner whose works creatively utilise and play with lights;

In Gallery Z there will be an installation – exhibition of Hungarian artist István Gellér B. – A Growing City;

in the Gallery of the French Institute curator Zsuzsa Dárdai will present the works of two French representatives of the MADI movement, Jean Charass and Saint-Cricq;

in the Gallery of the Austrian Cultural Forum in co-operation with Galerie Martin Janda from Vienna, the installations of young Austrian artist Johannes Vogel will be exhibited;

in the Gallery of the Czech Centre the author of the large dimension work created specially for this exhibition , Shrine for Bratislava and installed on Františkánske námestie, Václav Fiala, will put on a selection of his more intimate constructivist work;

in the Gallery of the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre acclaimed sculptor and organiser of symposia from Bulgarian Ilindentci, Ivan Russev, will present his stone sculptures;

The Kressling Gallery at its new address on Zámočnícka ulica is involved in the project with a selection of works from young Slovak and Czech artists - 7 Sculptors, where among others visitors can see works of Erik Binder, Viktor Frešo, Mário Chromý, Kristof Kinter (CZ) or Evžen Šimera;

one floor up at the same address in Komart Gallery you will find works of Federico Diaz from the Czech Republic;

and finally Gallery Forzet will have exhibit works of Milan Lukáč.

This year's SCULPTURE and OBJECT XIII also welcomes the 3^rd International Sculpture Symposium L´Art pour la Santé SO-CHA, Topolčianky 2008, from 13 – 31 August 2008

Topping Out Completed on 19-Story Sky Garage Luxury Condo at 200 11th Avenue in Chelsea, says Architect of Record, Steven Kratchman.

All concrete has now been poured. The 19-story, 16 unit, luxury condominium tower at 200 11th Avenue in Chelsea in New York City was topped out today, according to the building's Architect of Record, Steven Kratchman, AIA.

200 11th Avenue is often referred to as the sky garage building, because it's designed with a car elevator that travels vertically to all of the residential units. Each luxury apartment will be sold with an attached garage, similar to a suburban home, but stacked vertically, Mr. Kratchman said. The upper façade will be made of stainless steel panels. The four base stories are to be clad in terra cotta.

Located in the former warehouse district of West Chelsea in Manhattan, 200 11th Avenue will offer expansive views of the Hudson River.

Architect and Urban Designer Steven Kratchman, AIA, is the founder and CEO of the firm Steven Kratchman Architect, PC. Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Kratchman served as lead architect on the now world renowned Chelsea Piers complex in Manhattan. The Kratchman firm was recently contracted by Surround Art to create their architectural master plan for a clean, green Silver LEED industrial campus at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

We are honored to be the Architect of Record of 200 11th Avenue, working with the esteemed Design Architect Annabelle Selldorf on this elegantly designed project," Mr. Kratchman said. Construction is expected to be completed in February, 2009.

Credits for 200 11th Avenue: The Design Architect is the firm Selldorf Architects of New York City, Annabelle Selldorf, Founder. The Architect of Record is the firm Steven Kratchman Architect, P.C., of New York City, Steven Kratchman, Founder and CEO. The owner is Gaia House LLC, which is a partnership between Urban Muse LLC and YoungWoo & Associates.

The Kratchman and Selldorf firms were previously paired as Architect of Record and Design Architect, respectively, on a six-story vertical addition to an existing three-story former warehouse in the lower Manhattan meatpacking district at 415 West 13th Street.

Steven Kratchman Architect, P.C., was founded in 1999 by Steven Kratchman, AIA, architect and urban designer, who previously served as Senior Designer for the team that transformed an abandoned New York City urban harbor area into the now world-renowned Chelsea Piers.

His firm has grown from two architects to a professional staff of 15, who work on retail, commercial and residential projects, multi-family residential, single-family residential, historic and landmark properties, private clubs and sports facilities, educational institutions, new from-the-ground-up buildings and restaurants.

The 2008 summer exhibition of international contemporary artists has
drawing at the centre of its artistic performance and visual
perception. Drawing – often preceded by a rough sketch- is, like
writing, closely related to the inspiration of thinking, and thus
belongs to the most direct and spontaneous forms of artistic
expression. "What cannot be said, must be drawn" is our paraphrase of
Ludwig Wittgenstein's famous philosophical maxim. Influenced by new
media and expanding concepts of art, drawing is opening new horizons.
But the latter are still bound together by the power of the drawn
line.

lautet der Titel der Ausstellung des 8. Kunst- und Kultursommers mit
zeitgenössischer internationaler Kunst, in der die Zeichnung zum
variantenreichen Objekt der Wahr-nehmung wird. Der subjektive Ausdruck
jeder künstlerischen Position zeichnet die Wesenheit dieses Mediums.
Die Zeichnung, der oft die Skizze vorausgeht, ist wie das Schreiben
direkt an den inspirativen Denkprozess geknüpft und gehört somit zu
den unverstellten und spontansten Ausdrucksformen der Kunst.
„Worüber man nicht sprechen kann, das muss man zeichnen", wandeln wir
Ludwig Wittgensteins sprachphilosophische Einsicht ab. Unter dem
Einfluss neuer Medien und des erweiterten Kunstbegriffs hat sich die
Zeichnung neue Bereiche erschlossen. Was aber alle individuellen
Möglichkeiten der Zeichnung verbindet, ist die Kraft der Linie.

Autodesk Reports First Quarter Fiscal 2009 Revenue of $599 Million

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today reported revenue of $599 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2009, an increase of 18 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 2008. First quarter net income was $95 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, on a GAAP basis and $117 million, or $0.50 per diluted share, on a non-GAAP basis. Net income in the first quarter of the prior year was $83 million, or $0.34 per diluted share on a GAAP basis, and $107 million, or $0.44 per diluted share on a non-GAAP basis. A reconciliation between GAAP and non-GAAP results is provided at the end of this press release.

"Fiscal 2009 is off to a good start with our solid first quarter results," said Carl Bass, Autodesk president and CEO. "International markets, especially emerging economies, continue to underpin our overall revenue growth. We also continue to experience strong growth of our 3D products. Autodesk continues to drive innovative design technologies into a variety of industries - architecture, engineering, manufacturing, media and entertainment - and we will continue to work hard to shape the evolution of industry design trends such as Digital Prototyping and Building Information Modeling."

Operational Highlights

In addition to favorable currency exchange rates, Autodesk's performance in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 was driven by revenue from new seats, continued customer adoption of our 3D design solutions, and strong revenue growth in emerging economies.

Revenue from the emerging economies increased 41 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $101 million and represented 17 percent of total revenue.

The outstanding growth in emerging economies led to strong performance in our EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. EMEA revenue was $259 million, an increase of 25 percent as reported over the first quarter of fiscal 2008, and 11 percent at constant currency. Revenue in Asia Pacific was $149 million, an increase of 27 percent as reported year-over-year, and 18 percent at constant currency. Faced with continued economic headwinds, revenue in the Americas increased 4 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $191 million, as expected.

Combined revenue from the Company's model-based 3D products, Inventor, Revit, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, and Robobat, increased 37 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $146 million and comprised 24 percent of total revenue. Autodesk shipped approximately 35,000 commercial seats of its model- based 3D design products, including 11,500 commercial seats of Inventor and 24,000 seats of its Architecture, Engineering and Construction products - Revit, Civil 3D, and NavisWorks. In addition, revenue from 2D vertical products increased 16 percent compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2008.

Revenue from new seats increased by 23 percent compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2008.

Upgrade revenue and maintenance revenue combined increased 16 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $228 million. Maintenance revenue increased 33 percent compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $167 million, or 28 percent of total revenue. Deferred maintenance revenue increased $40 million sequentially and $130 million compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2008. As expected, total upgrade revenue decreased 14 percent compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2008.

Business Outlook

Second Quarter Fiscal 2009

Net revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2009 is expected to be in the range of $600 million and $610 million. GAAP earnings per diluted share are now expected to be in the range of $0.40 and $0.42. This is slightly lower than our prior projection due to additional stock-based compensation expenses. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the range of $0.52 and $0.54 and exclude $0.09 related to stock-based compensation expense and $0.03 for the amortization of acquisition related intangibles.

Third Quarter Fiscal 2009

Net revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2009 is expected to be in the range of $605 million and $620 million. GAAP earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the range of $0.42 and $0.45. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the range of $0.53 and $0.56 and exclude $0.09 related to stock-based compensation expense and $0.02 for the amortization of acquisition related intangibles.

Full Year Fiscal 2009

For fiscal year 2009, net revenue is expected to be in the range of $2.45 billion and $2.50 billion. Full year GAAP earnings per diluted share are now expected to be in the range of $1.78 and $1.88. This is slightly lower than our prior projection due to additional stock-based compensation expenses. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share are still expected to be in the range of $2.20 and $2.30 and exclude $0.32 related to stock-based compensation expense and $0.10 for the amortization of acquisition related intangibles.
