| It's LIQUID Competition: The Metamorphosis by QUBUS It's LIQUID has teamed up with QUBUS to give away one of their The Metamorphosis vase. Congratulations to the winner! Susanna Vivé from Spain. Metamorphosis is a way of infusing something old and familiar with a new aesthetic, and perhaps a new function. By repeatedly heating and reshaping old vases collected over time or inherited from grandparents, the designer Jakub Berdych from QUBUS has remoulded them in his own image to satisfy the needs of the contemporary consumer. Highly demanding craftsmanship and traditional glassmaking techniques are contrasted with contemporary materials such as plastic clips from Hornbach. Owing to its absurdity, its element of tragicomedy and its humour, the collection has been named after Kafka's The Metamorphosis: "Die Verwandlung". This competition is now closed.
