Plastics Recyclers Europe PVC recyclers exhibited at the Pollutec 2013  to promote PVC recycling

Plastics Recyclers Europe's PVC recyclers were exhibiting jointly at the Pollutec Fair which took place from 3 to 6 December in Paris. The event was a part of the VinylPlus Communication Project whose aim is to promote PVC plastics recycling and raising visibility for rPVC products and materials. 8 PRE members participated in the project: Cifra, Deceuninck, Paprec Plastiques, Reststofftechnik, Sita, Tönsmeier, Veka Recyclage and Vinyloop.

The PRE PVC stand was located in the Waste and Recycling sector at the Pollutec Fair which was visited by around 30 000 people. The PVC WG members involved in the project were presenting videos, samples and products made of recycled PVC. The Pollutec 2013 was a successful event which aimed at raising awareness about PVC recycling and plastics recyclers in France.

PRE & VinylPlus undertake actions in order to raise the awareness about the PVC plastics recycling and to challenge a more efficient control and usage of PVC during the whole life cycle of the material. Their aim is as well to influence an increase in collection rates and therefore recycling.
