The festival was a great success of public and critic, with a 3-day program of projections, live performances and talks. National and international artists from Canada, Turkey, UK, The Netherlands, Spain and France attended the event. Among all the works projected in the experimental cinema section, we remind the video "Beauty" by the young and talented Italian video maker Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, who met the public during the opening day and whose participation was reviewed by national newspaper Repubblica; Andrea Forte Calatti's work "The Passion" realized with the participation of dancers from La Scala di Milano; and the movie "The Venice Syndrome" by Andreas Pichler with the participation of Tudy Sammartin, appeared on magazines such as Harper's Bazar, Connaisseur, The New York Times, Le Monde, IO Donna.

The event was curated by Arch. Luca Curci (Founder of LUCA CURCI ARCHITECTS, International ArtExpo and It's LIQUID Group). The festival's program included exhibitions, video art screenings, movies' projections, live performances and meetings with artists involved.

The festival was focused on the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary time. People, backgrounds, societies, progress, cities and all their inputs create hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world. The Venice Experimental Cinema and Performance Art Festival aims to conduct a research and to offer to artists and audience a 360° experience about the body, conceived not only as a material organic system connected to space, but also as an evolving organism with peculiar sensations, feelings and characteristics.

Venice Experimental Cinema and Performance Art Festival  was the third event of the festival MORPHOS – Sustainable Empires, organized in Venice in the months between June and November 2014, in the same period of Architecture Biennale.
