Health policy-makers from 53 European countries to meet in Copenhagen to adopt new innovative public health plans
A set of landmark public health strategies and action plans will be discussed at the annual session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, the governing body for the WHO European Region.
These documents address refugee and migrant health, women's health, sexual and reproductive health, noncommunicable diseases, HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, health evidence and information and integrated health services.
The implementation of the regional policy framework, Health 2020, the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals and the new WHO Health Emergencies Programme will also be on the agenda.
The 66th session of the Regional Committee will bring together hundreds of high-level public health policy-makers, international partners and civil society representatives. It will take place from 12 to 15 September 2016 at UN City in Copenhagen (Marmorvej 51, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark).
Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess of Denmark and WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan will address the Committee.
Provisional programme
The provisional programme and working documents that will be discussed at the Committee are available in the four official languages of the WHO Regional Office for Europe (English, French, German and Russian) at:

Media registration
Journalists wishing to attend the Regional Committee sessions are invited to register online at http://www.euro.who.int/en/rc66-register or to send an email to nerguL@who.int.
All journalists need to register in advance, even those who will cover only the participation of HRH The Crown Princess of Denmark.
For security reasons, no media will be allowed at UN City without prior registration. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT NOON (CET) ON SUNDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2016.
Registered journalists may collect their pass badges at the UN City security gate on Monday 12 September between 08:00 and 08:30 am – please note time changes – upon presentation of photo ID.
