OPEN CALL FOR ENTRIES: LACDA 2013 INTERNATIONAL JURIED COMPETITION The winner of this competition will exhibit in the main gallery at our 4,000 square foot location! May 9 – June 1, 2013 click here for registration Jurors: Holly Harrison, Contemporary Art: LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) Rex Bruce, Artist, Curator, Director: L.A. Center for Digital Art Enter our juried competition for digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The competition is international, open to all geographical locations. Registration fee is $30US (three images). Multiple entries permitted, additional $30 entry fee for each three images. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44×60 inches on canvas or museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition in our main gallery May 9-June 1, 2013. The show will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artist. Second place prizes: Ten second place winners will receive one print of their work up to 24×36 inches ($150-$200 in value) to be included in upcoming group exhibits. The ten second place winners will be scheduled into group shows within twelve months of announcement of winners. Consideration is given to placing these works in shows appropriate to their style, genre and/or content. These shows will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artists. Special consideration will be given to all entrants for inclusion in future shows at LACDA. Many entrants from past competitions have already been included in our exhibits. Deadline for entries: April 22, 2013 Winners Announced: April 29, 2013 Exhibit Dates: May 9-June 1, 2013 Artist's Reception: May 9, 7-9pm Notification: all entrants will be notified of winners by email. No phone calls, please. File transfer for printing: winners will be asked to overnight or express post high resolution files to the gallery for printing. Transfer via FTP or email acceptable and preferred. Sales of Artwork: all artwork may be offered for sale. Gallery retains 50% of all sales. Winners retain ownership of all unsold works. All artwork remains the intellectual property of the winner. Winner agrees to allow use of their images for promotional purposes only.
